Oase BioSmart 5000 Gravity Filter System
BioSmart 5000 Filter Systems contain a multi-stage filter environment for beneficial bacteria to thrive as water is channeled through a series of high-surface area filter media foams. These filter media foams are zoned within the filtration system to promote the settlement of a variety of beneficial bacteria. The bacteria within this environment converts harmful ammonia and nitrites into nitrates which can be consumed by plant life within the pond. The flow through filter design provides additional oxygenation to water as it moves through. The BioSmart 5000 has built in cleaning indicators and thermometers to keep you informed for when the filter needs cleaned and what the water temperature is.
