Check Valves

Check Valves are plumbing components designed to restrict the flow of fluid or gas to a single direction. Also known as one-way valves, non-return valves, or backflow preventers, check valves ensure that water or air only move one-direction thereby preventing backflow into a plumbed system that could damage other equipment. As an example, aeration equipment should include a check valve on the air line to prevent water from backflowing into the line or compressor.
