Matala UV-C Clarifiers are designed for backyard Koi ponds and water gardens to help suppress green algae blooms and destroy harmful bacteria, parasites, fungi, protozoa, and viruses. Even in balanced pond ecosystems, sudden blooms of harmful organisms often occur from things like: natural seasonal changes, abnormal changes of weather, fish feeding behavior, mineral nutrient levels, etc. These blooms can result in green water, lethal oxygen levels, and weakened health conditions for fish and aquatic plants if unmanaged.
